Information we collect

We collect account information such as your name and email; ordinary pilot preferences; aircraft, flight, route, time, landing, approach, and currency-related activity records; and basic device, security, and diagnostic information needed to operate the service. During the Floot-hosted beta, FlightFolio does not store dates of birth, medical details, government-issued certificate numbers, payment-card data, or biometric data.

Voice and AI features

Voice capture starts only after you press the click-to-speak control and grant microphone permission. In the current beta, speech recognition converts your voice to text on your device or through your device browser’s speech service; FlightFolio does not intentionally store the raw audio. Text you submit to FlightFolio AI is processed to create a draft flight entry. AI-created drafts are not saved to your logbook until you review and approve them.

How we use information

• Provide, secure, maintain, and improve FlightFolio.
• Calculate logbook totals, progress goals, reports, and regulatory currency indicators.
• Create AI-assisted drafts and answer support requests.
• Detect misuse and comply with applicable law.

How information is disclosed

We may use service providers for hosting, databases, authentication, AI processing, diagnostics, and—if paid plans launch—payment processing. They may process information only to provide those services. We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Cookies and local storage

FlightFolio uses strictly necessary cookies or similar storage for authentication, security, theme, and saved preferences. Optional analytics remain disabled unless you actively allow them in the consent banner. You can clear your choice in browser storage to see the banner again. Blocking essential storage may prevent sign-in or other core features from working.

Retention and security

We retain information while your account is active and as reasonably needed for the service, safety, dispute resolution, or legal obligations. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no online system can guarantee absolute security. Keep an independent backup of any record required for certification, employment, or compliance.

Your choices

You may review and correct records in the app and request access, export, correction, or deletion through the account support interface. Some records may be retained when required by law or needed to protect the integrity of signed or audited records. Browser and operating-system settings control microphone permission.

Children and international users

FlightFolio is not directed to children under 13. Users outside the United States understand that information may be processed in the United States, subject to appropriate legal safeguards where required.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the beta develops. Material changes will be presented in the app before they take effect. Privacy questions and rights requests may be submitted through FlightFolio’s in-app account support channel.
